● More bright, more space - This is a matter that has to be take into consideration, while choosing the color. If you go with bright colors, that will definitely make your room look larger than what it actually is. However on the other side, dark colors make your room appear quite shorter than what it is right now.
● Brush: The brush that you select has to be on a higher side on the quality front. For smaller portions of the house, you will just need a roller and couple of ladders (One in most cases); well, for painting larger rooms, you probably would have to look for sprayer. While using sprayer, what you have to concentrate more is on the number of equipments inside it. Mostly, sprayers are used to paint exteriors.
● A roller cover nap, on the other hand comes with variety of thickness options - If a semi gloss is what you have, 3/8 inch is what the thickness preferred for. It sometimes go for over 1/2 inch, if the surface is roughly textured.
Preparation: Complete a portion of the room at a time. That is, finish the portion, which you have already started. Generally, paints dry out quickly; so, you could also avail the service of solvents, water etc. during the occasions.
● Cover it off - Before starting the process of painting, you are advised to mask the whole area in the room, except the areas in which you are going to paint for a while. It should be the first thing to look for, when you are using a sprayer.
● Damaged portions - Give an extra care to the areas in walls, which have witnessed visible damages and imperfections. Putty knife, scraper, caulking etc. have to be in hand for making it back to the shape.
● Divide the room - It is a nice option to divide the room into smaller portions. Firstly, you have to paint the corners, edges.
● Start from ceiling trim - Painting your rooms start from painting the ceiling trims, followed by ceiling, wall trim, walls and finally enter the woodworks.
● Clean it carefully - Doing this entire job, requires extra care as you have to look for external particles entering the walls you are painting. So, look for them and clean it up.
Well, these are some of the small matters that make it big in the output. So, look for details and make your room look cool.
