You can’t live in this world without money. You need a
bank account to save your hard-earned money. There are many kinds of bank
accounts like Current Account, Savings Account, Recurring Account and Fixed
Deposit Account. You have to select one according to your requirement. Go to
the bank in which you want the account, meet the officer and inform him about
opening an account. He will give you an Account Opening Form or Proposal Form
which has to be filled with your necessary personal details. Signatures have to
be put wherever necessary and sign jointly if it’s a joint account. Also a
specific number of copies of your latest photo might have to be submitted.
Reference of
existing account holders in the same bank might be essential as well. After
filling in the details, you can submit the form with your documents. If it’s a company account, necessary details
about the company need to be submitted. The Bank Officer will verify your
Proposal Form and accompanying documents. He will clear it if it’s satisfactory
and your account will be opened. Deposit an initial amount in your account and
you will get necessary documents like the pass book, cheque book, pay-in slip
etc. depending on what type of account you open.
