9 Tips for safe driving

1.    Remain alert and attentive when you are on the ride. A driver is responsible for his own life and of other passengers. A moment’s mistake can make you pay for a lifetime, so prevent mishaps.

2.    Scan the road, ahead and the vehicles and pedestrians nearby. Keep space between the vehicle in front while driving, especially when you are at a higher speed.

3.    The weather may not be fine always. Rain and wind might disturb your driving especially if it’s night. Keep moderate speed in such conditions. Follow traffic signs for help.

4.    Check behind to avoid blind spots. Use rear view mirrors.

5.   Do not drink and drive. Might sound repetitive, but it’s certainly dangerous. Drug or drinks won’t let you be alert and leave you tired and careless.

6.    Do not drive when you do not know the route. Make a rough plan at least about your route. Slow down and ask for help if necessary.

7.    Since there is no light, night driving is not easy. Slow down especially if it is unfavorable weather. Do not gaze at the lights of other vehicles but look to the rear view mirror to reduce the glare.

8.    Roads in country may not be wide as in city. It can be winding or narrow and  rough. There might be animals on the way, holes etc. So slow and drive safe. Remain Alert.

9.    Always wear your seat belts. It protects your body from injuries when there’s a jerk or in case of an accident.
