Handling your Newborn Baby

Newborns are cute, soft and very fragile. You should take special care while handling a newborn child. Always keep your hands clean and tidy because any carelessness can cause infection to the baby. The baby’s immune system is not strong yet. Not only you, make sure whoever takes your baby should be clean and hygienic and should keep their hands clean. Another important thing is always support the head and the neck of the newborn when you carry the baby.

Do not shake the baby because it is so dangerous that unknowingly you may be causing bleeding in your newborn’s brain. It may even lead to death. Even if you want to wake the infant, tickle his/her feet or blow to the baby’s cheek. In short, do it gently. When you carry your baby out make sure he/she is securely positioned in your car seat or stroller. Do not shake/jiggle or throw your newborn baby in the air to express your love.
