Tips to secure your home when you are away

When you are planning for a trip or going away for a wedding/ funeral or any other purpose don’t just lock your home and go. Take special care if you are going for a number of days. Hire a person to look after your home, if possible.

 Ask your friendly neighbour to keep an eye on your dear home in your absence. Ask them to use your garbage cans if possible, so that your house looks inhabited. Keep your telephone at its lowest volume so that burglars won’t hear it and assume you are away. In short, do not let your absence be known. Do not give any chance to burglars to make use of the opportunity. Better be safe than sorry.
