Often we spend a lot of money to buy a room freshener to get rid of the foul smells at home. But you can actually make your own room freshener at home easily without using artificial materials and at a cheap rate. Here are some ideas to make your own room fresheners.
• Keep one or two teaspoons of vanilla essence in a cup/bowl in one or two rooms that are prone to bad smell.
• Take a bowl of water. Separate petals from flowers and put in it. It’s a beauty to look at and a good room freshener too.
• Mix lemon essence, vinegar and baking soda in small bowls and keep them in rooms.
• Heat a cup of water and add a tbsp of vinegar to get rid of smoky and other kitchen smells.
• Mix water and a few drops of your favorite oil with a good fragrance in a spray bottle. Shake well and spray.
• Dipping the fragrant oil in a cotton ball and keeping in different places in a room is also good.
• Keeping the branches or leaves of Eucalyptus tree or Bottle Brush can also give good fragrance.
• Boil 300 gm cinnamon in 2 litres of water. Keep it in small bowls in room. It can be boiled for 3-4 times using same bark.
